Data Deletion Policy

1. Purpose and Scope
This Data Deletion Policy explains how users can request the deletion of their personal information and BuyMyVenture account.
This policy applies to all BuyMyVenture users, regardless of whether an account was created using:
- Email and password
- Google Sign-In
- Facebook (Meta) Sign-In
This policy should be read together with the BuyMyVenture Privacy Policy, particularly the provisions relating to data retention and user rights.
2. How to Request Account and Data Deletion
BuyMyVenture provides a self-service option that allows you to request deletion of your account and personal information.
To submit a deletion request:
- Sign in to your BuyMyVenture account.
- Open Profile from the account menu in the top-right corner.
- Scroll to the Delete Account section.
- Select Delete Account.
- Provide the reason for your request.
- Confirm that you understand that account deletion is permanent.
- Enter your registered account email address.
- Select Permanently Delete My Account.
The same process applies whether you registered using email and password, Google, or Facebook.
Your BuyMyVenture account is treated as the primary account record, regardless of the authentication method originally used.
3. 24-Hour Grace Period
Submitting an account deletion request does not result in immediate deletion.
Once a deletion request is submitted, a 24-hour grace period begins.
During this period:
- Your account remains active.
- You may continue to access and use BuyMyVenture.
- You may cancel the deletion request from your Profile.
- Our team may contact you, where appropriate, to understand whether we can resolve an issue before your account is permanently deleted.
If the deletion request is not cancelled within the 24-hour period, the deletion process will proceed automatically.
Once the deletion process has been completed, the deletion of your account cannot be reversed.
4. What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted
After the 24-hour grace period expires and the deletion process runs, personal information associated with your active account will be permanently removed from our active systems.
This may include, where applicable:
- Name
- Phone number
- Address
- LinkedIn information
- Buyer preferences
- Advisor profile information and biography
- Profile information
- Other personal information contained in your user profile
Your BuyMyVenture login will also be permanently disabled.
Social Login Accounts
If you registered or signed in using Google or Facebook (Meta), the same social-login account will not be permitted to create or access another BuyMyVenture account after deletion.
This safeguard is intended to prevent an account from being deleted and immediately recreated through the same social-login identity.
You may register a new BuyMyVenture account in the future using a different eligible email address or a different Google/Facebook account, subject to BuyMyVenture's applicable terms and policies.
Email and Password Accounts
If your account was created using an email address and password, the registered email address will be released after deletion is completed and may be used to create a genuinely new BuyMyVenture account in the future, subject to applicable verification and account requirements.
5. Information That May Be Retained
Account deletion does not necessarily mean that every record associated with a transaction can be immediately or permanently erased.
Certain information may need to be retained where:
- We are required to retain it under applicable law;
- It is necessary for accounting, taxation, regulatory, legal, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes; or
- Deleting it would improperly remove or alter another user's legitimate record of a transaction or contractual relationship.
Where retention is necessary, we will retain only the information reasonably required for the applicable purpose and, where practicable, separate it from your active profile and personal information.
Examples include:

| Payments and invoices | May be retained to meet applicable accounting, taxation and regulatory obligations, including requirements under applicable Indian tax laws. |
| Executed NDAs | May be retained as evidence of a confidentiality agreement or other legally binding obligation. |
| Deal and negotiation records | May be retained where another buyer, seller, advisor, or other counterparty has a legitimate record of the transaction or interaction. |
Retained information will not be used for ordinary account functionality once your account has been deleted, except where necessary for the purpose for which it was retained or where required or permitted by law.
6. If You Cannot Access Your Account
If you are unable to sign in to your BuyMyVenture account and therefore cannot use the self-service deletion option, you may request deletion by contacting us.

Use the subject line: Delete My Data
Where possible, send the request from the email address registered with your BuyMyVenture account.
If you cannot access your registered email address, you may be asked to provide sufficient information to reasonably verify that you are the account holder before we process the request.
We will review and process the request in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law and will communicate with you regarding the outcome of your request.
7. Facebook (Meta) Users
If you used Facebook (Meta) to sign in to BuyMyVenture, removing BuyMyVenture from your Facebook application settings or revoking Facebook permissions does not delete your BuyMyVenture account or the information already associated with that account.
Revoking Facebook permissions only affects the permissions available to BuyMyVenture through Facebook going forward.
To request actual deletion of your BuyMyVenture account and personal data, use either:
- The Delete Account option inside your BuyMyVenture Profile; or
- The email-based deletion process described in Section 6 if you cannot access your account.
8. Deletion of Data Stored by Service Providers
BuyMyVenture may use third-party service providers to provide hosting, authentication, storage, payment processing, communications, analytics, security, or other services.
Where personal information is processed by such providers on behalf of BuyMyVenture, we take reasonable steps to ensure that deletion or anonymisation requests are handled in accordance with our applicable data-retention requirements and contractual arrangements.
Certain information may continue to exist in secure backups for a limited period where immediate deletion from backup systems is technically impracticable. Such information will remain protected and will not be restored for ordinary processing except where necessary for security, disaster recovery, legal compliance, or other legitimate purposes.
9. Deletion Is Permanent
Account deletion is a permanent action once the deletion process has completed.
After completion:
- Your active account cannot be restored.
- Your profile information will no longer be available through the Platform.
- Your login will be disabled.
- Information that is legally required or legitimately retained may continue to be maintained for the applicable retention period.
If you wish to continue using BuyMyVenture after deletion, you may need to create a new account, subject to applicable eligibility, verification, and platform requirements.

11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Data Deletion Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, security practices, or data-processing procedures.
The latest version will be published on the BuyMyVenture website with its updated "Last Updated" date.
We encourage users to review this policy periodically to understand how account and data deletion requests are handled.
